As previously demonstrated for several canopy species from a tropical moist forest, the maximum rate of net CO 2 uptake was a good predictor of daily carbon gain. The hull won't take the strain The chassis already has proper mounting. East-exposed leaves that received direct sunlight during early morning hours showed higher CO 2 uptake rates and lost less water per CO 2 fixed than west-exposed leaves. However, daily carbon gain and diurnal water-use efficiency of CO 2 uptake did not differ between seasons. During the dry season, gas exchange was characterized by strong reductions (“midday-depressions”) of net CO 2 uptake and stomatal conductance at noon. Rates of net CO 2 uptake were high throughout the study period, with up to 33.1 μmol m − 2 S −1 in the early dry season. Measurements were conducted from early January 1993 (dry season) until July 1993 (wet season). (Moraceae) were studied under natural conditions in the tropical dry forest of Parque Metropolitano near Panama City, Republic of Panama. We further discuss the feasibility of in/cross-borehole monitoring of reservoir compaction, for both improved geo-mechanical modelling and early warning detection of induced seismicity.Diurnal courses of CO 2 and water-vapour exchange of canopy leaves of mature trees of Ficus insipida W illd. CO2 cartlineage: trainwreck x Purple punch. These five strains are just the tip of the trichome when it comes to grape-flavored cannabis. Growers love this strain because it produces a hefty amount of flower for harvesting. We demonstrate how this segmentation of pore-pressure driven compaction can be used to characterise differences in sample properties, and monitor the evolution of microstructural inelastic deformation throughout depletion. Its parent strains are Mendo Purps, Skunk, and Afghanistan, and it creates a deep purple flower with oversized, compact buds. Furthermore, analysis of Biot type intrinsic attenuation indicates that this compaction occurs in several stages of predominately intergranular closure, transitioning into primarily intergranular slip/cracking, and eventually porosity-dependent intragranular cracking. Our results corroborate previous studies suggesting that initially, inelastic deformation occurs primarily along intergranular boundaries, with intergranular cracking developing towards the end of depletion and particularly for the highest porosity samples. With this in mind, we employ three coda-wave based processing methods for the active source monitoring of ultrasonic velocity, scattering power, and intrinsic/scattering attenuation during the pore-pressure depletion of core samples from the Slochteren sandstone reservoir in the Groningen gas field (the Netherlands). While there has been considerable effort to quantify the proportion of continuous inelastic deformation from the mechanical response of laboratory samples, there has been little focus to date on the associated acoustic response throughout compaction. Recent studies indicate that in such cases inelastic strain, which is often neglected in geomechanical models, represents a significant proportion of the total strain throughout reservoir production. Pore-pressure depletion in sandstone reservoirs is well known to cause both elastic and inelastic compaction, often resulting in notable surface subsidence and induced seismicity.
